Host to many tournaments such as the North of Ireland Championship-one of the four provincial major championships in Ireland, the Senior British Open Championship and the British Amateur Championship, Royal Portrush is delighted to welcome the Senior British Open Amateur Championship in 2011, from 3rd to 5th August, and also the Palmer Cup in 2010.
Royal Portrush Golf Club is delighted to have amongst its members Darren Clarke, Padraig Harrington and Graeme McDowell, all world class champions and Ryder Cup stars. Fred Daly, born and bred in Portrush and a member of the club, had been the only Irishman to win 'The Open' until Harrington's magnificent achievements in 2007/08.
